Compensation: $10.10 - $11.36 per hour depending on experience
Position Available: Immediately
Employment: 4.5 hrs per day during the school year, 3:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Reports To: Director of Facilities & Building Administrator

A. Education Level:
|
-High School Diploma, or GED, or any equivilant combination
of experience and education which provides the proper know-
ledge , skills, and abilities.

B. Certification/Licensure:
|
-None Required.
-First Aid/CPR certificates desired.
|
C. Experience Desired:
|
-Some experience in custodial work is preferred.
|
D. Other Requirements:
|
-Some knowledge of the materials, methods, equipment, and
procedures used in cleaning operations.
-Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, buffers, and other
janitorial equipment.
-Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to building fix-
tures and equipment.
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
and to read, understand, and follow manuals and instruction
materials for cleaning and maintenance equipment.
-Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and
co-workers.
-Ability to perform heavy manual work.

-Elementary Building Custodian II, or Director of Facilities, or
Building Principal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
|
|
|
|
Basic:
|
-Work includes responsibility for cleaning of an assigned
|
elementary school building and associated facilities and grounds. Employees of this position perform assigned responsibilities independently, following established routines;
however, specific instructions are received on unusual jobs. Work is inspected in process or upon completion for adherence to instructions and work standards.
|

Frequent:
|
1. Sweep, vacuum, wax, mop, and buff floors plus dust and clean offices, classrooms, cafeteria, gym, and other rooms.
2. Collect and remove trash.
3. Wash walls and windows.
4. Clean restrooms and replenish supplies; unstop sink and toilets and report need for more major repairs.
5. Move furniture and equipment; set up classroom and gym and take down and store equipment.
6. Remove snow and ice from walkways and clear leaves and trash from grounds.
7. May need to unlock and lock building(s) for events.
8. Ability to lift and carry approximately 55 lbs.
9. Perform related work as required.
