Compensation:      $11.00 per hour, 3 - 4 hrs per day

Reports To:   Expanded Learning Program Director

DEPARTMENT: Student Services
JOB TITLE: After School Program Activity Leaders (Rev 10/26/2017)
Fremont Expanded Learning Programs
DESCRIPTION: Implement and lead expanded learning opportunities
and activities for students in grades K-4 or 5-8.
Responsible for the supervision, management, and
safety of children. After school hours when school is in
session and some full days when school is not in
session.

REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education Level: High school graduate or GED required
B. Certification/Licensure: None
C. Experience Desired: Experience working with youth
D. Other Requirements: Positive interpersonal and listening skills. Effective
written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated
ability to work well with others and as a team. Ability to
organize and manage time effectively. Ability to
multitask and direct students. Ensure a positive
experience and environment that promotes and
enhances student learning, skills and achievement.
REPORTS TO: Site Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program: Works closely with Site Manager in the development and implementation of
engaging and enriching activities for an educational, social, and recreational
afterschool program.
1. Adheres to applicable district policies and regulations required by the grant.
2. Responsible for developing and leading daily expanded learning opportunities.
3. Monitors students and engages them in multiple program offerings.
4. Serves as a mentor, encourages youth achievement, and promotes youth development.
5. Implements and models positive discipline and behavior management.
6. Attends required staff meetings, training and professional development as assigned.
7. Assures that program spaces are well maintained and left as found.
8. Communicates well with others and has sound decision making skills, versatility,
initiative, high energy, and strong human relation skills.
9. Maintains communication with parents and families.
10. Performs other related duties as required.
